Symphony Of Heaven - The Ascension Of Extinction EP (2020)

Image
01. You Shall Be As Gods 02. The Ascension Of Extinction (feat. Karl Walfridsson and Mund) 03. DeathMarch 04. Mountain Of Man's Ignorance The sixth overall release by death/black metal band, Symphony Of Heaven, which started as a solo project by a guy who goes by the moniker " Pathos ", and turned into a full fledged band (like Theocracy and Abated Mass Of Flesh did). Track 1 features a spoken word vocal spot from Atmos . Track 2 features guest vocals from Karl Walfridsson of Pantokrator, and Mund of Skald In Veum. The EP has a nice "dark metal" feel to it, much like a Behemoth album, but then not so much. Stylistically there's definitely more diversity on this EP. The most prominent vocal technique on this EP has to be the the "death yell" or "guttural" style vocal, or whatever that is. There's the regular blackened death metal esque mid range style growl, some highs, and then there's this thing that sounds like the black metal v...

Track 12 is eighteen minutes and twenty-six seconds, but the song "Atlantis" lasts five minutes and four seconds. The track goes silent for a very lengthy period of time before picking back up with an untitled track at the fi fteen minute and fourty-four second mark.

Unseen Faith - Evoke (2020)

Image
01. Downfall 02. New Era 03. Hardwired 04. Wrath 05. Ode To Heresy 06. Out Of The Dark (feat. Daniel McWhorter) 07. Heart In A Prison 08. The Perfect Human (feat. Andreas Bjulver) 09. The Greatest Threat (feat. Benjamin Ganzhorn) 10. Wither The fifth overall release from Denmark metalcore band, Unseen Faith. First off, this one is HEAVY, as is typical of Unseen Faith albums as far as I can remember. The album features the down tuned heavy guitars, as well an atmospheric sound, coupled with electronic and symphonic elements.  I would compare it to the newer Chelsea Grin stuff; deathcore influenced progressive metalcore. Track 6 features guest vocals by Daniel McWhorter of Gideon, track 8 features guest vocals from Andreas Bjulver of Cabal, and track 9 features guest vocals from Benjamin Ganzhorn of Daze Of June. The second cover art shown is for the single release of "Downfall".

Nest Productions | Homepage

Image
Welcome to the Nest Productions homepage. I initially named this site the "Barfing Bird Blog". It was a haphazardly compiled archive of musical information I started to accompany the YouTube channel  Regurgitating Owl Productions .  As time went on, I decided to focus more on making comprehensive lists of musical releases by year, staring with 2020, and based solely on my personal interests. The site is mainly focused on Christian music. Though there is a little secular music in there, the Christian scene is my focus. As of 2023, Nest Productions is an independent record label, currently working with Finnish black metal musician and independent scholar, Armath Sargon. I'm hoping to work with others in the future. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HISTORY Regurgitating Owl Productions was founded in 2016, under the moniker "Regurgitating Owl Records" (and later "Recordings...
