The 7 Method - Demo (2004)

Image
01. Without You 02. Dead Like Me 03. Shut Up 04. Another Day 05. Alone 06. Kid Icharus 07. Just To Feel The first release by metalcore band The Ascendicate, who played nu-metal under the name "The 7 Method" from 1999 until 2008. I custom made the logo shown above. It is the official logo for the band, but unfortunately a solid render didn't exist. I somehow managed to find the font (Cretino) on a font sharing site. I thought I'd have to search for hours, but it only took maybe 20-30 minutes to find!

xDeathstarx - Beware Of The Deathstar (Demo) (2003)

Image
01. Bullet 02. Represent (feat. Wayne Duke) 03. Walk Away 04. Die To Remain 05. Vocal Test The first release by hardcore band xDeathstarx. All songs (barring the final track) were re-recorded for the band debut full length. As always, videos coming eventually.

Adiastasia - Life War (2006)

Image
01. Guerra Della Vita (War Of Life) 02. Father Of Light 03. The Fellowship 04. Freedom Call 05. Eternal Life 06. Kingdom Of Glory 07. By Dreams 08. A Terra (The Land) 09. Adiastasia 10. The Winner 11. Consumatum Est (It Is Finished) The second release by Brazilian power metal band Adiastasia (and while it may want to autocorrect to "Anastasia", that isn't the name of the band, heh heh heh). It is possible that the name "Adiastasia" comes from the Greek word "diástasi", (διάσταση) which means "dimension". Vocalist Jeff Winner has expressed disapproval of the mix on this album (though I can't remember if it was the 2010 version or this one), claiming that the label messed the mix up. A remixed/remastered version of this album was released in 2010 though Bombworks Records, titled "Life War: Collector's Edition". A 2003 demo exists, and is the band's first release. Unfortunately it's virtually impossible to find. Buy the...

Ashes To Ashes - Cardinal VII (2002)

Image
01. New World Obscure 02. Embraced In Black 03. Among Mortals 04. Truth On Scaffold 05. Iben 06. Dualism 07. Sic Transit Gloria Mundi 08. Ravenous Unleashed 09. Behind Closed Eyes 10. Cardinal VII 11. Iben, Pt. 2 The fourth and final release by Norwegian power metal band Ashes To Ashes. The album could be described as "symphonic power metal combined with gothic doom metal".  I'd say this album is a combination of bands like The Foreshadowing and Pathfinder.

Ashes To Ashes - Shapes Of Spirits (2000)

Image
01. Shapes Of Spirits 02. Gabriel 03. Castle In The Air 04. The Mourning 05. Dying Room 06. Divide & Conquer 07. Sacrilege 08. Ad Infinitum The third overall release, and first full length album by Norwegian power metal band Ashes To Ashes. While self described as "Gregorian metal", and labelled as "symphonic power metal", the band does make use of gothic metal elements, thus I'd call them "symphonic/gothic power metal".

Moriquendi - Demo (2005)

Image
01. Glory Of The Night 02. The Headhunter 03. Labyrinth Demo release by Canadian power metal band Moriquendi, which can be found in video form via the band's Facebook page, along with a cover of Helloween's "I'm Alive" (which is apparently a demo from 2003).

Dying In Silence - Guerreros EP (2010)

Image
01. Intro 02. Guerreros (Warriors) 03. Eterno Silencio (Eternal Silence) 04. Tiempo De Cambiar (Time To Change) 05. De Tinieblas A Luz (From Darkness To Light) Currently the only release from Mexican deathcore/metalcore band Dying In Silence.

  01. Break In The Clouds 02. Embrace The Beauty 03. Cold Dark Whisper 04. Illumination 05. Wounds Of The Tongue 06. Awe And Disbelief 07. Voice Of Love 08. Obscured Reflection 09. Proverbs 10. [Untitled]  The third overall release by melotechdeath band Aletheian, back when they were called Crutch. This album was released twice. This is the original version, which included a short snippet of a talk given by a pastor named Howard Lawler on the issue of abortion in America (track 10).

Once Nothing - "...And The Blood Of The Wicked Shall Flow Like A River..." EP (2003)

Image
 01. Hand Grenades Solve All My Problems 02. How To Build A Sandcastle 03. Thanksgiving Day Bar Fight The obscure first release from metalcore band Once Nothing. It plays like a demo, and it came in a thin case with a cover art insert.
